Today, Bannerman!!! Host, John Barron pays a Gospel Music tribute to the late Rev, Bobby J.Wallace, who touched many of us with his love for God and with a seemingly tireless energy and enthusiasm. "The Rev," as he was called, was the first black man to be Boatswain on a US Navy carrier and after serving his country worked until retirement for the US Postal Service. After hearing God's call, he became a pastor and remained so until he succumbed to cancer, in his late 70's. He led a COGIC church in Northampton, Ma. at the site where Jonathan Edwards preached, and was a Gospel Music DJ and a regular on several radio stations in New England. The Rev was a dear friend, and I was blessed to co-host many of his radio shows on WACE and WLPV Radio, during his last few years. Today's music includes some of his favorite artists and songs. Please listen and be blessed. And yes, dancing, clapping and loud expressions of joy are absolutely encouraged!
